My chief complaint with this fantasy scenario as it takes our eyes off of the real power grab. What AI can do is provide a surveillance state and provide technology as an alternative to politics, where this billionaires who build these data centers, consolidate total political, economic, and social power. This is their goal, mixed with crazy motivated reasoning, self delusion, and cult, like believe that they constructed around themselves and their own megalomania.. The danger is not the technology. The danger is the people in the wealth consolidation all of this stuff represents. Look at the money that they’re claim and look at the power. They are claiming look at the water. They are claiming look at the land. They are claiming look at all the bulldozing of people’s personal property rights because he’s data centers destroy peoples homes they destroy their health They spike the cost of power and water, and the super rich are in a position to get what they want. If you need water and a rich guy wants water for his data center, it is you and your town that will die of thirst
