Bernie, what you should have said is "AI could wipe out the vast majority of Humans, not just their jobs and income!" Humans will be replaced by AI robots, as we transition, more and more people will lose their jobs, lose their homes with no income to pay their mortgage, lose their house insurance and health insurance and eventually lose everything! We need to create a world that is not based on money, if we don't, all but a few humans will be needed to run things and thus the vast majority of humans will be expendable and live at the whim of those with all of the monetary power, military power and resources of the world at their finger tips. I have heard of Futurists who claim that right now, only 40 people are pulling the strings, heads of the BIS- bank of international settlements, the big 7 on wall street and the largest military contractors. Those that end up controlling the super computers and AI, they don't care about humanity now, so its unlikely their viewpoint will change once they have all of the power. All must get access to money without working should no jobs be available, a guaranteed annual income needs to be looked at and most definitely, a new type of human value system that places value on humanity beyond its commercial value!!! This drive for efficiency has us close to losing everything, cause robotics are better at what humans have normally done, so it should be obvious that we need to find a better reason for living, one that will ensure the need for humans, one that will ensure our survival!
