Yep, AI is a good servant but a poor master, as the old saying goes. But it's like a racing car in that you need a competent driver for it if you want to win races... thinking that AI will automagically have programmers without the skills to do good quality work to produce great software... is obviously not a recipe for success. From what I've heard from folks who work in organizations that have lots of trainee programmers lots of universities are already pushing out folks with degrees but who's programming skills are basically limited to trying to engineer their prompts to make the AI write their code for them...
