Children do not need technology. Mine is almost 13 and no way. She uses a school chromebook at school controlled by school and I don't even like that. She sits there for 8 hours a day on a damn computer. How are parents supposed to keep up? This mother didn't even understand what AI was. Now her kid is gone. This is dangerous territory. So for us, no phone, chromebook stays in the room with me after school. No video games. Might sound grinchy but i am 51, I grew up with zero tech. I am scared for her. All her friends are getting phones. NO. The potential for bullying..and now this??? AI is too much. Huge hell no. IMO.
