In the 1980's, as a young Canadian🇨🇦 undergrad political science student preparing to attend the Model United Nations🇺🇳 in New York, I had the extraordinary opportunity to moderate a debate between professors from Washington🇺🇸 and Moscow🇷🇺 on "Nuclear Arms Proliferation" and the prevailing doctrine of "Mutual Assured Destruction" (aka the "MAD Doctrine"). Model UN🇺🇳 Students, critical of the "MAD Doctrine," supported "Nuclear Non-Proliferation." Students called for complete "Nuclear Disarmament"🕊. In 1991, the "Strategic Arms Reduction Treaties🇺🇳 (START I and New START) (1991, 2011) implemented significant reductions in the number of deployed strategic nuclear warheads and delivery vehicles for both the USA🇺🇸 and Russia🇷🇺. As a global civilization, and in our capacity as global citizens, we demanded and agreed to international treaties to limit the dangers arising from unchecked "nuclear proliferation." Most notably we agreed to the "Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons" ("Non-Proliferation Treaty" (NPT)) being the cornerstone, alongside the "Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty" (CTBT) and the newer "Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons" (TPNW). The Silicon Valley mantra of "Move fast and break things" embodies the philosophy of rapid experimentation, innovation, and disruption, suggesting that if you aren't breaking things, you aren't moving fast enough to innovate. This unregulated underreported "Trial & Error" approach to AI is so dangerous. Citizens, like we did with Nukes, we need to engage in mass to demand AI guidelines and guardrail regulations if we are to protect against the reckless pursuit by Corptocracy of AI dominance for their own profits and gains, absent adequate reporting and oversight. We must protect against the forseeable, while guarding against unforeseeable harms arising from reckless actions driven by pressures to be first to market, to secure market dominance, and to provide shareholder dividends, no matter the damages to society. 📣 We, the people, must demand and agree to comprehensive global "Artificial Intelligence Proliferation Treaties🇺🇳" (AIPTs). Only with AIPTs agreeing to the joint development and deployment of all AI in the best interests of all humanity will humanity best ensure global cooperation and sharing between the USA🇺🇸, China🇨🇳, and the world 🌐🇺🇳. AIPTs will allow humanity to better anticipate, identify, and address harms. AIPTs, in fostering ongoing dialogue, oversight, and reporting, best ensure humanity avoids the potential of intended, or unintended, extinction level events. ❤️ We must build a system that protects, respects, and promotes the wellness and dignity of all people, no matter color, gender, health, age, or income. We must demand a global "Essential Services Program" (E.S.P.). A program that taxes wealth to provide essential services to all, including water, food and nutrition, housing, healthcare, education, and the enforcement of the rule-of-law in protection of personal security, due process, and our freedoms of speech and association.  ❤️ In our "Office of Citizen" each and every one of us must do all in our power to protect all that has been built that contributes to our global health and wellness infrastructure, including; communications, transportation, energy, utilities, education, healthcare, childcare, seniorcare, environmental protections, justice, the rule-of-law, due-process and our fundamental human rights. All fundamental human rights must be protected and enforced around the world if "Civilization" is to defend against Fascist Oligarchs and their exploitation of people and planet.  ❤️ We build "Global Online Democracy" infrastructure where Global Citizens can access secure, factual, truthful information, in a marketplace of ideas curated to be hate-free, fraud-free, and lie-free, for the purpose of protecting themselves and their institutions in support of social-democracy, human rights, the rule-of-law, fairness and justice, for the future wellness of people and planet, in perpetuity! ☑️ ❤️ We must demand comprehensive "TAX REFORMS" to include a "Wealth Tax," an "Estate Tax," and an "Exit Tax" to end off-shore tax havens it we are to build a sustainable global civilization that is transparent, accountable, just, and fair! A civilization founded upon justice and fairness, not upon brutality and exploitation in pursuit of wealth and power.
