Those kind of people who use AI or steal others work are uncreative and jealous of others abilities to create things. Art is not just about the finished picture or product, its about the journey, and the process. Those who don't understand that don't have the creativity or dedication it takes to learn, to struggle, to grow and become an artist. It is HARD work but is also fun and extremely rewarding to look at something I made and know that I made that, I did that and be excited about trying more and new things. Like he said in this video, its about the passions and perseverance. The person who took, stole the drawing the dad did with him and his daughter, ran it through an AI program and "fixed it" made it "faster" proves that they (AI advocates) just don't get it and probability never will. Insulting artists doesn't make you cool or smart, same with stealing others work, it shows a clear lack of understanding of why we create and that no matter what we will create, its in our hearts and our souls. Its an amalgamation of our life experiences our influences and intrests. I can't speak for other artists but first and foremost I draw for me, I draw for my sanity and mental health. I draw because I love it. If you just want to make pretty pictures for praise and attention then I pity you because that is shallow and sad, it shows a lack of self worth, creativity and maturity. Now if you will excuse me, this whole thing has got me very annoyed so I am going to go watch some Bob Ross 'joy if painting' to relax.
