I disagree, sure you’re typing in the words in the style of Van Gogh, but very little of his art would be what the AI is sampling, thousands and millions of art pieces that would be sampled would be pictures from other artists replicating his art style, because the AI is only looking at art pieces with the text “Van Gogh” attached to it. Van Gogh made only 900 paintings apparently, that is not enough for the AI to produce a product from. It needs to look at billions of images to get something of decent quality. All these arguments to me just seem like a bunch of people not accepting that their line of work is replaceable just like every other work. I don’t see you having sympathy for all the people’s mom-pop shops that have died to massive corporations, or your supermarkets replacing Clark’s? People are just salty that they like those people are replaceable too, you have to be exceptional now, instead of one of the many who think I can draw I should be an artist for a living… it’s not unethical it’s not copyright, what annoys me is 99 percent of these people are all people who have drawn others IP and they have the audacity to complain about fair use. Always the victim never the perpetrators! 🙄 The top artists on instagram are still going to get work even with this AI, and those artists probably can be replicated with this AI, but people who are whinging about this probably don’t even have enough art online and following for the AI to replicate their work.
