In the UK, ISP's are regulated and you have legally backed privacy protections. This is not the same for VPN services. Topically ChatGPT told me that assuming I'm using the internet from home, then services like piavpn, NordVPN are largely pointless, and if anything, you're trusting a less trustworthy service due to the lack of regulation.
