people are super overplaying this.
Current Ai is just a fairly simple tool that doesn't do anything revolutionary. It's just convincingly stitches responses together from already existing material. It can't plan or create or develop anything that doesn't already exist. It's like a fun puzzle solver that can sometimes give you weird responses, that's all.
It simply finds the best matching parts and approximates a Frankensteinian chimera output of those parts.
If you give it a plan of a car and ask it to improve on it, it won't be able to. Because what you seek doesn't exist. It might find other plans and randomly make a new one combining the plans into a new plan, but it won't be necessarily an improvement or an improvement you want, because what you get is not a product of careful thought and creativity. It's one of those response when we were kids and came up with power rangers and it was just like any old one but yours was purple.
