Unfortunately our government has NO capability to deal with this type of technology. Most of them probably have difficulty using a TV remote, much less understand something like AI. At the same time it can't be left up to corporations to "govern" themselves because they won't. They will do what they have always done - screw over the public for higher profits. Not sure what the best approach is, except the government needs to pay some of the AI experts out there to separate themselves completely from the corporations. Obviously AI lobbyists aren't going to be of any help. Only people who understand the subject well, and aren't beholden to the corporations, can make any sort of helpful recommendations.
