It will happen for some things. and not in 6-12 months. in a couple of years, 4 at most.. because its not only about AI. entire concepts of build your own kind of platforms will be built and will be accessible to people, platforms that in conjunction with ai will give you that trust you mention. engineers will decline in numbers, engineering will become harder to master, better paid, more important than anytime. no matter how smart ai gets. but for your moms site ? i give it 2 years. even for government level platforms and sites - there will be solutions that will reduce the costs from tens of millions to mere tens of thousands to build. and they will be secure. and new standards, reglementations and laws will appear that wil enforce these things. just like i see a soon to drop deepfakes law that will basically render deepfakes ILLEGAL in MOST contexts (there are still legitimate uses for it), just so people wont be able to vibe code shit platforms just because they can. edit: people deny this future. the truth is somewhere in between. for millions of wanna-be developers out there it will be a nightmare of a transition. more will fail than will succeed. and that will happen mostly because most of them will be rendered useless, given that many will either be unable to (some intellectually, most due to financial(!) and other reasons) or simply refuse to evolve and understand the way things work. but this ain't new.. this has happened before, and will continue to happen again each time society brings massive how-to reforms that impact most industries. --- (!) i expect things will get a lot more expensive - tokens, ram, everything. if you will want to build you will need pro equipment and paid services, not far fetched from how things are now, but even more regulated. similarly to how photography works, or quality 3d printing. you can take some photos, you cant build a studio on a phone
