Those tests are mostly just filler nonsense information so that they can test and choose "better candidates" using them. Most doctors, for the vast majority of their careers, keep giving the same treatment of a group of 2 or 3. AI and robots could easily replace the vast majority of them in a heartbeat, but you would still need _some_ doctors handy for situations outside what AI knows what to do with.
Of course, doctors dont like it when you say that their day to day job is easy. Too fragile egos.
