People who think designers are going away, don’t understand what designers actually do. Designers shouldn’t be reduced to whatever tool is being used. We don’t simply push pixels. Ai will be able to present all kinds of visuals, but it won’t be able to understand the context and recommend which visual will be a good solution to the problem you’re trying to solve. Also, what will the legal implications be? Today, you can’t use some random image or brand mark found online to promote your business. You could get sued. I expect Ai generated content will have similar rules. There will have to be a human in the loop somewhere. All jobs will be impacted and EVOLVE. Ai will get rid of TASKS that are repetitive and/or mundane. Examples: generating email summaries or meeting notes, populating content, etc. People said the same thing when ATMs came out “bank tellers are going away.”
