Really don't understand the anti-AI perspective bar one concept. In the beginning artist used a live model, then they used photographs as a reference for a drawing. Now we use a computer generated image to assist us in conceptualizing. It is still drawn and then painted. No amount of technology puts oil paint on a canvas. The `bar one' concept I grasp entirely, is that artists have a style and a palette they gravitate to and feel natural in. If you are painting random images in different styles and colors you don't promote yourself as an artist with an identity and a perspective. So is using AI to help generate an idea that is in your genre, palette and style, then tweaking it in Photoshop, drawing the finalised image on canvas and applying your paint, and all your paintings are similar in style and palette and are distinctly `Artist X', is this still taboo ? Help me out here anyone.
