Just want to note that Character Ai has announced the off-boarding of minors from open ended chats. Currently, users with an u18 account are being limited to 1hr a day in the US with plans to ramp down across the globe.
This does not dismiss the job of parents to ensure their kids are not talking to these bots. There are hundreds of apps out there like this one. Many minors in their communities have already announced moving to those, often MORE mature, sites. (Most of which have a simple “are you 18” checkmark gate…)
Spread awareness of ai and Minor safety! It can be great for creative minds who understand the fictitious nature. But from many of us adults in the ai role play community, AI IS NOT FOR MINORS!
