"An artist has no right to speak to gods" Not only is that comment disrespectful, it's delusional. Most of these AI bros get their models from some github repository (so they wouldn't know how to program it themselves) and follow a tutorial on how to scrape X artist(s). Then, after letting their computer run for a few hours/days (depending on the rig, model and how commited this particular AI bro is) they set up a (poorly) written prompt and literally hit a button to get "their" art. There's absolutely no work involved, no self improvement, no skill, not even raw talent. I think even greek gods would be appalled at such hubris. PS: "AIs get inspired just like people" beyond being a trite argument, it's also an invalid one: Because of the way AIs work they can't quite generate a wholly new image, no matter how "clever" or "refined" a prompt is. That's why you're always left with a feeling of "Haven't I seen this before?", because odds are, you probably have.
