There might be a reason why humans haven´t developed more intelligence, although high intelligence seems superior. Everything needs proof in the physical realm, long-term and short-term. AI does not have feelings or responsibility. It has no personal purpose to serve and technically it acts like a psychopath, capable of doing anything without hesitation. I believe that nothing can be upscaled endlessly without reaching a threshold where further upscaling gets more and more impossible or absurd. Humans are not inferior just because their capability of thinking is limited. We are organisms who have the capacity for personal experience and sensing meaning. We can encompass not only predictions but experience of the past. And that takes f+++ time! Every concept needs years of proof. Being smart alone is never enough without the capability to test your hypothesis. Thinking about how difficult it is for most highly gifted people with IQ 160+ to live a normal live because they feel excluded all the time. They practically don´t find anyone who understands them, especially because most highly gifted people don´t even have a clue, that they are highly giftet. Most highly intelligent people do not end up in leading science positions. They rather believe to be misfits in a society that does not understand them! Intelligence alone is NOT the sacred land. Community is. Embracing all diversity is. The chance that we have here is not only to escape feeling of unworthiness because the "lack" of brain capacity towards a machine, but also towards other humans beeings. We live in a society of competition much more than of cooperation. And AI is the promised land for everybody (shortsighted) who feels inferior, because they are suddenly capable of doing things others couldn´t do, at least for a couple of months or so, without going through the struggle of learning and doing hard work.. What comes now is that people with little or no responsibility get all the possibilities to compete with anyone, just by being quick on the AI market. We are reaching the maximum level of competition against our fellow humans. Being on top of the market now becomes more and more absurd. And there´s now a chance to become aware of this. In essence: The only reason to build superior machine that will possibly annihilate human kind is the inherent feeling of inferiority. And in face of the predictions in this interview this feeling surfaces intensely.
