Hollywood forms our understanding of fantasy, one film like "Ready Player One" and that's how the Metaverse shall be like. Even Satanism, werewolf and Dracula is now reality thanks to Hollywood needed vilans. Robots and AI has always been a dream for Hollywood, like the videophone and TV-watch was, but when the technology came that could give us that, reality kicked in and we understood how silly Hollywood's ideas are. The same is now, AI is our times "wow, that's the future", and when reality kicks in, AI will not be different than a touch screen replacing a human even it just make ordering less effective and unpleasant.
AI is just a fancy and huge database that can sort things and then predict the next letter in the answer.
