going to be totally honest here, considering hollywood hasnt made a decent movie in years and are just lazily rebooting and rehashing everything to make a quick buck, im finding it kind of hard to sympathize with a lot of these writers. (of course its not all of them, but it IS a lot of them) maybe this is just the fire they need to go back to their creative roots and actually write a creative and enthralling script. the audience doesn't care where the script came from as long as they are being entertained. so whether we start getting more entertaining media from AI or from newly invigorated writers, This can only be good news for the masses. Also, as a musical composer i know its only a matter of time before AI starts making music (they may already be in fact) but after giving it a lot of thought i honestly dont feel threated by it at all. firstly because music (like all art) is in the eye of the beholder and there is no truly great or bad music (art). everyone will interpret it differently and on multiple levels. take the mona lisa for example, from an artistic/emotional perspective i personally find it very bland and boring(i wouldn't hang it up in my room) but from a technical perspective the craftsmanship is outstanding. this is an example of different levels/types of ways of appreciating art (with the end result being my own personal opinion, my opinion also being heavily influenced by the time i live in) with AI art of course the same would be true, and people will interpret things accordingly. when viewing or listening to human made art, we will interpret and connect with what the artist was trying to convey. with AI art you will also get an emotional response but there will be no artist to connect it to. this may seem a subtle difference but that IS the key to art, subtlety. (interestingly, this comment will become irrelevant in 10-20 years once AI is actually able to feel, will you be ready?)
