Most Silicon Valley billionaires don’t pass their power down to their children, because the U.S. market is competitive enough that even tech giants can’t guarantee dominance for more than a few years. In contrast, South Korean chaebols still do that - they’re propped up by the government and can be as corrupt as they want. Elon Musk isn’t backed by the government or mainstream power - in fact, he’s mostly bullied by them. He’s nothing like the Saudi or Korean chaebol princes - Korean chaebols look down on Elon or Steve Jobs because of their humble family backgrounds.
