Well, unless I'm missing something, every artist has been also trained based on copyrighted art. Unless an artist learns his/her skills in a cave, completely disconnected from the world, they are actually doing the same as AI does. This argument doesn't really hold much ground. The world changes, we need to adapt. It's not easy, it's not fair, life rarely is.
