2:34 While I agree with that speculation, I also think that some (not all) of those higher performers are turning to generative AI due to the pressures of the school system. For a high performing student, deadlines can be brutally short and the stakes can be incredibly high. High performing students often care a great deal about their grades, unlike lower performing students.
I'm not defending their use of AI, just providing an alternative reason for why more high performing students would turn to it. Also this is entirely from experience and all anecdotal from when I was still in the education system
