I as a game artist for years but pretty much stopped when AI started saturating the market. I lost all reason to continue.
Sure I still sometimes enjoy doing traditional media, but in a world inundated with AI, the average perosn doesnt give a shit about my art or something someone generated with a prompt.
To a non artist it simply doesnt matter.
It sucks.
