Become a plumber, really? As a Journeyman Inside Wireman I can say I keep hearing this. "Go into the trades." It's always someone who has not been in the trades. The way I see it, there's too much competition here in tech, go kick some dirt. Now, if everyone listened to you, and stopped pursuing higher education, how would they ever fix the potential mess you made?
No, not everyone is meant for the trades, it destroys your body. Waking at 3 am to commute 1 to 2 hours to your job site. Then working in 100+ degree weather. Only to have to drive back that 1-2 hrs home. You do not want to work in the trades, I don't want to work in the trades... How are plumbers going to help stop AI from becoming what you fear. C'mon.
