While I am seeing a lot of people talk about AI art being theft or exploitation (or plagiarism when it comes to ChatGPT), I'm seeing very few people mention that this could be a major violation of copyright law(s). If an artist copyrights some of their art, whoever is making an AI to generate art would have to pay the artist and/or ask them to use their art for the AI. If this doesn't happen, the person/people making the AI could get into serious legal trouble.
For a lot of our gripes against copyright (especially on YouTube), I think it's time we start taking advantage of it.
