Would I go to a concert to hear the greatest symphony of all time, composed by an AI? No, because as an avid musician, I'd be afraid I'd never pick up a guitar again. Would I want an AI as a music teacher? Absolutely. So where's the problem? It's militarism and capitalism; things are developing far too quickly. Perhaps it would be better to develop specialized AIs first, rather than a AGI— move 37 demonstrated the potential. That alone could save humanity, and then we could see if we even need something like general-purpose AIs. Aside from the dangers, why should we relinquish the most important thing that defines us to someone else?
