Ultimately this feels like a concept that we have in the back our minds for the future. Particularly I think as information technology grows and concerning automation and lowering consumption. It could be that the concept of human labor loses meaning and we go to the sci-fi socialism setting. Still, I'd be interested in covering the slew of social and individual problems a society where humans aren't needed and no one works would create. I know already having a job and feeling useful is tied to individual's mental health (and I've experienced a period where I needed a job to get back in a good head space).
As far right now, I'm going to be honest I think our governments interests with welfare are too warped to do anything to help. And a lot if our society looks down on welfare programs and models that sound too good (because no one is allowed help).
