AI art has its place. If you're not really trying to convince people it's real or quality - like, you're an indie dev and all you want is some cheap background art in your indie game that was only made to fund a much bigger project, slapping in some AI art might as well be a cheap solution. But when you're looking for quality, when the art is in the foreground, that's when AI art isn't acceptable.
