the comment "im not worried about myself, im a bit concerned for my children, their children etc" summarizes the entire world so well and its refreshing honesty.
thats why climate change, famine, mass bee deaths etc. dont really seem like a problem. hundreds of people fly to some climate change meeting to talk about it, but in reality its just a job and a paycheck for them and they dont really think about the true repercussions to the people affected.
though in smaller scale this affects everyone. every office worker, plumber etc. is mostly concerned about their own wellbeing right now. if the regular workers considered ai etc. true problems, theyd quit their job right now.
