I think one blind spot in your video is the concept of "accelerationism". You described it perfectly. It's just the behavior of silicon valley and these tech oligarchs has been summed up as accelerationism. We know we're headed for a disaster and they've decided that steering into it is at least some way to scout the danger of it. That's not really the way science works, unless you're like probing some black box which you could argue the future is, but it's more difficult than that because of the lack of regulation and the multiple players on the board. They all claim to need to be first because of that cold war-like aspect of it.
