When I first found about chatgpt, I asked it to summarize Garratt v. Dailey, one of the most famous torts cases. Instead, it told me all about some unrelated insurance fraud case. I knew from that point that I couldn't even use it to save me from cold calls in my classes, much less ever actually using it for legal research.
