Did YOU even check the Luddite history? They were just workers that just wanted to be fairly paid, except machines completely undercut them, because the owners of the machines didn't want to pay the Luddites (because they had machines), so in the end, the Luddites tried smashing the machines as a last resort, so the owners got the government involved, who made it an offence to do so, forcing the Luddites to either quit or be hanged!
It's a story that gets repeated every time people are being kicked out of their job by automation. There is nothing new under the sun.
