Why do the corporations need so much profit? Isn't it enough to be profitable? Why do the profits always have to go up? Why isn't it enough to be consistently profitable? The whole system is such nonsense that disregards the average person that ends up suffering under it.
If these companies were ran by compassionate leaders they would increase their workers' compensation instead of increasing their profit margins for the benefit of investors.
The capitalist system can't survive if its people don't have money to buy anything.
