I think it depends. How much work do you need to put in yourself? I find I have too little control over the creative process when I just throw in text. However on the other side, if someone throw some paint on a canvas it is also pretty random. Regardless, I think that if I draw something, and the AI then uses the text generation thingy to fill in the rest of the piece for me. Sure, it can be art. I would put it on a lower tire/grade of art, but still. That being said, I do not think AI art is generally something to be proud about. To me it is something to enjoy for oneself. To make pieces to go along with once fantasy, or the ai generated story I battle with the text generator to make the last days.
