Raw LLM Responses

Dear FINANCIAL TIMES, Thank you for this informative and well presented piece. The problem is that AI is not technically "AI" it is instead a LLM. It is sophisticated and useful, but it is no where near sophisticated enough to supply large, medium and small businesses with ability to reduce staff significant enough to increase quarterly returns for shareholders. Even the so called "Smart Chat" systems used on corporation websites are incredibly "dumb" and unless the specific needs are extremely limited ( "...what is phone number and address please...." ) most users by-pass them completely. AI is being sold by the entities who have created them as a tool or an "adjunct Helper" to existing staff, however corporations have no interest in finding limited helpers for existing staff, they want to replace staff altogether. The experience of several corporate entities that went all in on AI discovered that decision was a nightmare. The entities who created and sold these AI Systems have promoted them far beyond their actual useful capacities. Until these systems have matured "Significantly" more then they are now ( 10 to 15 years ), it will be a long time before their large scale and profitable implementation. There is another problem with these LLM Systems, they consume immense resources for what they give in return. The problem is that we are very close to the end of what we can do with moving Electrons within Semi-Conducting matter, to move to the next generation of LLM's or even true AI Systems, we need to solve this technical problem first.
