I am a small business owner in the healthcare industry. I am at the mercy of how much I can collect from Insurance companies to stay afloat. I Have 7 employees. I pay $50K-80K/year for a key tedious job that AI probably can do within the next 2-3 years. I can't find enough reliable people who can do this job. When an AI option becomes available I'll have to go for that option. For me it's the difference of being profitable or not. During Covid I was the only company in my industry who didn't fire anyone. AI is a tool that can potentially make my operation more efficient and profitable. There are technical positions that I can pay up to $120K per year and it's not likely to be related by AI. Can't find enough qualified people to do that job. The education system does't produce enough qualified employees....
