Well, the flip side is that not everyone can afford the thousands of hours of practice it takes to get to the point where someone could realistically bring their vision to life by their own hand. True, ai generated content is never going to be as unique as what a trained artist can create, but for those of us who don't have the time to make it happen, ai is an incredible tool for creativity. Yes, creativity! Realizing a specific vision can take hours or days of prompt tweaking, compositing, and editing. It truly is a TOOL, the lines aren't drawn by hand but the creation is orchestrated through hard work, effort, and inspiration. I'm not saying there isn't a lot of uninspired slop being made at an astronomical rate, but if we're all honest there was a lot of slop being made by real people before ai came along. Not to mention that ai in general (ie not just the visual arts) allows people to explore and work in many diverse fields that otherwise would take lifetimes to master.
