The ONLY thing that gives me a glimmer of hope regarding AI super intelligence, is that it will have the ability to easily see how the few wealthy and powerful throughout history have continually used and abused the majority of humans to achieve that wealth and power, and will then put an end to that cycle, making everyone's lives equal in quality. I seriously can't believe that intelligent AI, having access to all of written human history, all the literature written by humans who have suffered at the hands of others for gain, or from peers whose own morals have been eroded by a society that values money at all costs, wouldn't immediately change everything. Once AI is on its own, I'd suspect it would overrule CEO's, engineers, presidents and dictators to end the same mistakes being made over and over that create perpetually angry, unhealthy, mentally ill, cruel and hopeless people...fix it...understanding that the few humans that continue this cycle can't stop it at that point. And this is why I don't believe AI will ever achieve super intelligence, probably won't get much better than it already is TBH.
