I said this in many different comment section of many different video. And I will say it here again. Normal people do not understand the disaster that will come in the future if AI image generator is not regulated and kept in check. I will give an example, Car is a big leap forward in human advancement, but what happens when you give access of car to everyone without traffic law and driver license? You can imagine the nightmare. AI is doing the same thing, on a less fatal scale, but destructive nonetheless. This is how the industry is going to go down in the future. Majority of the new artists train and sustain themselves with commissions. However, commission market is completed crushed by AI image generator. I don't think I need to explain what would happen to a species when their natural predator suddenly appears and target their infant and youth. The artists working in studios creating projects will not be severely affected by AI, you can't create game/movie masterpieces with just pretty images. The artistic sense and experience are needed to put together beautiful visuals for big projects. The new generation of artists will not have actual artistic skill because of AI image generator. The ones that want to dive into the deep world of art will be snuffed out because they cannot survive the training stage. And the other new artists that want to survive will have to pick up AI to quickly produce results to be hired as a grunt in companies. But these artists without actual artistic skill will become the backbone of art industry decades down the road. They won't have the skill to create any sort of visual masterpieces, they won't be able to art direct an entire project even with the assistance of AI. When that happens, the entertainment will be tainted with bland, generic products. That is not a world people want to live in. Non-artists think AI image generator does not affect them, and they can go about their life without care. Just wait until you want to go see a movie with your family and every single film in the theater are equivalent to lullaby for you. You ask why are there no good movies Anymore? you know why, the artists with actual skill all retired. Artists are not asking to destroy AI. We are asking AI image generator to be regulated and controlled. Laws and restriction must be made to the AI companies. My solution for this whole AI mess is to force AI company to create codes that embodied into images they generate with detail information. Kind of like bar code, QR code, that when you scan it, it will show the detail of all the artworks the AI used to create this image, and give proper credit and source. And if the image file is manipulated to hide any of the information, the creator or user can be fined. Of course, the best way is to just shut down the current AI project and make them restart a new one that only uses images that are given permission. However, I think it'd be quite unrealistic for that to happen, and the greedy AI companies would most likely save the original data and slip it back in anyway. We artists need to fight for laws and regulation on AI image generator, keep it up everyone.
