AI can’t replace the bulk of humans, as if most every job is AI, who will be buying stadium cups, clothes, homes, washing machines, cars, etc?
AI won’t buy those….it doesn’t want them. Only humans with money, usually from a job, are customers, and that is what drives much of the economy.
It’s like the old story attributed to Henry Ford, when another factory owner touring Fords’ car plant asked why didn’t Ford cut his employee wages and make more profit in the short term. Ford supposedly replied “and if I and others cut our worker’s wages to the bone ….who will be able to buy my cars? Or your factory’s products? Or what most any business makes?”
Every employee is also a customer, and although businesses may dream of eliminating most human jobs, that can’t happen without them also destroying their own customer base, and their own profits/business.
