It will never happen. The closest "plan" I saw was the venus project that aimed at having distributed work for the community in a fair way, reducing the less desirable and easily corrupted jobs with automation this would be rubbish conveyor belts like sewer pipes and an AI president (not chat GPT lol the more specialized kind of AI used in science and medicine) but everyone would have to contribute in a fair way, and all jobs technically still exist you still need to maintain and fix te conveyor belts and the AI, you still need to clean the city still need to override or approve decisions by AI I suppose and you still need doctors professors handy mans and all that.
