I feel like its just laziness. I do think it may be possible to do some real cool stuff while still using genai. Maybe incorporating into a larger piece or even using some of the odd clearly broken prompted images as reference for a drawing or painting which would still require at least more than basic knowledge of art theory to truly make personal and distinct pieces that would be hard for anyone else to create. It sucks that this is and will continue to be a problem and i really dont like that it turns people off to the point of not wanting ai involved in art at all.
