The problem is: in movies we'd have some safeguards, rules, etc that would FAIL and THEN AI would kill us all. But in real life, there IS NOTHING. The only reason is hasn't happened already is because AI isn't quite intelligent or sentient enough yet. THATS IT. It's not because we're being careful or anything.
