I'm slowly working on my own open world video game as a solo developer. I can't afford to hire anyone ( on my retirement income ). It would be impossible, or at least highly impractical to do everything myself. All the art, all the programming, all the story, all the gameplay, all the level building, even though I have learned to do all those things fairly well. So I use AI as a tool to help with some of the programming ( it's great at writing python scripts to automate some of my more tedious tasks ), to generate concept art ( I mostly do the actual game art myself ), In writing the story, which is sci fi, I use AI as research on science topics, not for creative work.
