My daughter has two daughters 7 & 10 that she has homeschooled. She also has a one year old and is a scout teacher. I live 60 miles away and I visit for a few days and spend the night. My granddaughters and I are very close. Whenever they were getting ready to have a baby at home with a midwife I would stay for as long as they needed me. All three babies I was there for three months each. I would take the baby after my daughter nursed her at 5am so they could get some more sleep. Then I would help out with what ever they needed. Dad had a business out in their garage so he would come in for lunch and see the baby & other kids for awhile. It was such a bonding experience and I feel very lucky. When their sister was born the homeschooling made it possible for them to spend alot of time with their newborn sister who they adore. They cook and have chores. Recently they have started using a computer to study. Their parents got rid of their T.V. and gaming system when the first baby was 6 months old. It is nice to go into someone's home without the TV being on. All you hear are kids laughter and playing.... I am going to take a guess that the school talked about here is a private school and cost MONEY! But this is how schools can be for everyone now that the government has done away with the Dept. Of Education. Now more money will actually be used to change the schools so kids can actually learn. What is really needed though is to teach parents what good nutrition is so they feed their kids properly . Get rid of ADHD drugs.
