Every time a plane crashes all the planes of the type are grounded until the reasons are found. The actual accepted crash risk a posteriori is zero. The actual crash risk when you set foot on an airplane is in the order of one in ten million or so.
The only thing making AI developers accept a risk that high is greed.
If one were taking a flight to get a lottery gain check my bet is they will accept to fly a much less safer airplane. Because of greed.
