I don't mind using AI art for your own private things. I use picrews all the time when designing new characters. And people have tracing other's art in private to learn. Heck, that's what you had to perfect when training to be a master painted back in the ye olden days; tracing and coping other master painters their work before you were even allowed to think about creating your own. It becomes a problem when people go around screaming how they are now professional artists/writers when all they did was type in a few words and get art. It becomes a problem when people try to sell it as their own work when all they did was come up with a vague idea and type that in without any other afford. It becomes a problem when artists with amazingly good art get banned from Reddit after being told that their work was done by AI and that it doesn't matter if they made it or not because an AI could've done it better and faster, "that's just the world, sweetheart"
