Interesting to see Elon Musk as a signatory against the bots, yet starting to roll out his Neuralink experiment. A bit telling, isn't it? And of course, the Russians and Chinese hiding the truth. Whatever technology you have seen in a sci-fi movie already exists and the statement that we want AI but we don't want killer robots is a bit disengenous. Doesn't take a genius to see this is a well prepared piece of half-truth with the message that we can still stop this, someone else is taking care of it, activists and so on. Meanwhile we use all the gadgets the system throws at us, they're getting cheaper after all... Glad the NYT covers this, I feel much safer now that I know that they know what's going on.
