We complained about this when 3D art was permitted in Artists' Alley at D*C. We worked hard to create pieces for the judging just to get in to see our work competing with rendered pieces the were generated with Poser and DAZ Studio models that were stock material. No finish work. It's expensive enough to get in and stay for 5 days and these guys do it with a few keystrokes and print it out. They don't need to even show any skil, AI emulates any style they want. We left and never looked back. D*C was done for us that year. That was back in 2006.
