I think AI art is a symptom of a bigger issue, a mix of instant gratification, overconsumption, unwillimgness to be a beginner a.k.a shit at somwthing for a period of time, and just seeing everything as a fucking product, instead of a personally enriching experience. Art was always democratised and available to everybody. But you gotta learn patience, humility and perseverence if you want to last long enough to reach an impressive level of skill. Very few want to put in work anymore, they just want a ready product right here, right now. I can't wait for AI companies to start charging impossibly high subscriptions and claimimg full ownership over the work generated in them, leaving the people who relied on it in the dust, with years of wasted time and zero skills of their own. I'm tired of laziness and lack of patience being excused by cretins like Shad. AI art and script slop has been affecting supposedly educational contwnt too, spreading misinformation to kids. It's really not just a matter of 'entitled artists' as some like to argue.
